HUNTINGDON COUNTY
Huntingdon County was established on the 20th day of September 1787. It had been created out of Bedford County, which in turn had been part of Cumberland County. Land taken from Huntingdon County to form parts of Centre and Cambria Counties reduced the size of Huntingdon County, and on February 26, 1846, with the creation of Blair County from a portion of Huntingdon County, the present boundaries of the County were established.

STATEMENTS
Effective July 1, 2001, filing
requirements for Financing Statements and
ancillary transactions were set by Act 18 of
2001, with Pennsylvania’s adoption of
revised· Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial
Code (UCC).
All filings must be made with the
Secretary of State (Sec. 9501). Only those
filings containing realty-related collateral, (a)
fixtures, – (b) as-extracted collateral or (c)
timber to be cut may be filed with the county
Recorder of Deeds. The real estate must be
identified by including a description and the
tax parcel identifying number on each filing.
The fee for filing a Financial Statement
with the county recorder of deeds offices
under 13 Pa.C.S. (relating to the Uniform
Commercial Code) is $100.00 regardless of
the number of debtors or pages.
Where no fee is specified, the fee
will be determined by the Recorder of Deeds.
