Title Insurance Protects Homebuyers from Potential Title Defects
Buying real estate is a big investment and you could be putting that investment in jeopardy if you don’t have a strong title policy. Our team will be happy to tell you more about the types of coverage available and give you title insurance rates that fit your budget.
Title Insurance is Optional but Recommended!
While lenders are required to purchase a title policy, homeowners are not. Even though it is not required, it is still highly recommended. Think of it as an investment; if you ever have to deal with a title defect, we think you will find your investment was well worth it. One more thing: under federal law, you have the right to choose your own title company. If your realtor, lender, attorney, or any other party has recommended a provider, we encourage you to shop around and do your research. When you select an independent, third-party title agent, you can be sure there won’t be any conflicts of interest.
If you need title insurance services in York County, PA, or anywhere else nationwide, you can rely on the experience of the team at World Wide Land Transfer. We have been in business for nearly 20 years and we can help you find title insurance in Lancaster County, PA, York County, or in other communities in the area as well.
YORK COUNTY
York County was created on August 19, 1749, from part of Lancaster County and named either for the Duke of York, an early patron of the Penn family, or for the city and shire of York in England.
Based on the Articles of Confederation having been adopted in York by the Second Continental Congress on November 15, 1777, the local government and business community began referring to York in the 1960s as the first capital of the United States of America. The designation has been debated by historians ever since. Congress considered York, and the borough of Wrightsville, on the eastern side of York County along the Susquehanna River, as a permanent capital of the United States before Washington, D.C., was selected.
